The SAGEO Method
A Method Built for Uncertainty.
Search platforms evolve. AI-generated answers vary. Sustainable decisions begin with evidence, disciplined implementation, and an honest understanding of what cannot be controlled.
What the Name Means
SAGEO is our studio's working framework for the connected disciplines of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). It is a descriptive framework for how we organize our practice, not a claim to have invented or certified those fields.
The three concepts overlap. We do not sell artificial divisions where work belongs together. A clearly structured, trustworthy explanation of a service may improve usability, traditional search understanding, and the interpretability of information by AI-powered systems. No one can guarantee the exact downstream answer a third-party model will generate.
One Discovery Environment. Many Moving Systems.
- 01
01 — Establish Reality
We begin with evidence rather than a score. We map public business facts, website architecture, indexability, important pages, competitive search landscapes, local presence where relevant, and the types of questions real buyers ask. We identify what we know, what we infer, and what we cannot reliably observe.
- Typical outputs
- technical baseline; brand/entity consistency review; content inventory; search and answer prompt set; risk register; initial measurement plan.
- 02
02 — Diagnose the Gap
Not every issue deserves immediate work. We assess severity, business relevance, implementation cost, compliance sensitivity, and dependencies. An inaccurate executive biography may matter more than publishing ten generic articles. A missing service page may matter more than an attractive score widget.
- Typical outputs
- prioritized problem statement; opportunity map; decision log; recommended sequence; ownership assignments.
- 03
03 — Engineer the Foundation
Our implementation work can include crawl and index access, internal linking, service architecture, structured data aligned with visible content, first-party expertise, location details, navigation, performance, accessible copy, and conversion pathways. For regulated sectors, factual and professional claims require the client's review.
- Typical outputs
- approved changes; revision history; page and template guidance; QA checklist; rollback or escalation notes where relevant.
- 04
04 — Develop Authority Through Evidence
Authority cannot be purchased from an AI model. It is built by publishing accurate information, clarifying the people and expertise behind the organization, using reliable sources, maintaining consistent public profiles, and giving visitors reasons to trust the facts they encounter.
We do not promise placements in news outlets, generated endorsements, mass-produced backlinks, or citations that have not been earned.
- Typical outputs
- editorial briefs; expert review workflow; entity and reference consistency work; evidence inventory; content improvement plan.
- 05
05 — Observe and Learn
We track what can be measured responsibly: technical health, search visibility, landing page engagement, qualified inquiries, and samples of brand mentions or citations across documented AI queries. AI answers can vary by model, location, wording, and time; an AI visibility score is not a universal ranking standard.
- Typical outputs
- decision-focused monthly memo; AI query observation log; change-to-outcome notes; next-cycle priorities.
- 06
06 — Recalibrate
Our work is iterative. We reassess data, platform behavior, business direction, and the cost of continued activity. If an initiative is not creating a credible path to value, we say so and adapt. More activity is not automatically better strategy.
What We Will Not Claim
- That SEO, AEO, or GEO can guarantee inclusion in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, or any other third-party answer.
- That a single proprietary score proves business growth.
- That a schema tag or special AI file overrides platform quality and indexing requirements.
- That every recommendation from an automated tool should be implemented without review.
- That six months is a universal or guaranteed time to results.
The Measure of a Good Method
A good method leaves the organization clearer, the website stronger, the evidence better organized, and the next business decision more informed — even as search systems change. That is the discipline behind SAGEO.
